UCDC Welcomes Kaci McCall and Holly Robinson to our 2013-2014 Staff

UCDC is excited to announce our 2013-14 Hip Hop Team Director/Instructor, Kaci McCall!

2013kaciKaci currently resides in Easley, SC. Kaci has been dancing for the last 20 years and was a competition dancer for 9 years. Kaci started dancing at UCDC at the age of 14 and continued on the Jazz Company until graduation. Kaci trained under instructors- Kevin Maher, Bobby Newberry, Tovaris, Chonique and Lisette, and Robert Schultz. Kaci was a consistent overall winner throughout her dance competition years, and has much experience in the competition world. She is a very well rounded dancer, but Hip Hop is her strongest discipline and passion. While competing with UCDC, she was chosen as a Hollywood Connection Dancer in which she traveled and assisted the convention staff for 2 years. She also won a Shake the Floor/Break The Floor Scholarship, she was a hall of fame all-star, a part of Starpowers “Power Pak” and she won a pacific coast dance scholarship. Upon Graduation, Kaci moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her passion to dance. While there, she was represented by DDO talent agency and worked under choreographers such as: Brooke Lipton-Glee, Robert Schultz, Chonique Sneed, Lisette Bustamante, Katie Miller, Jason Kalish, Zach Woodlee. She has also performed in Robert Schultz’s carnival piece held at the key club in LA. Upon returning back to SC, she begin teaching at various studios across the upstate, but shortly found her way back to UCDC. Kaci is so excited to be back with her UCDC family and to bring her expertise and love for hip hop to all our students. She will be teaching at the summer hip hop camp in August and you can see her dance reel below!

UCDC is excited to announce our newest 2013-2014 Faculty member, Holly Robinson!

2013hollyHolly Robinson currently resides and teaches in Atlanta, Georgia. Holly spends her time traveling to studios along the east coast, teaching master classes and setting choreography, which has won multiple overall and choreography awards. Prior to traveling, Holly trained for two years at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she had the privilege of performing in works choreographed by Scott Jovovich and Wayne St. David. During her time at the university, Holly danced and choreographed for the Xhale Dance Company, under the direction of Michael Susten. Her choreography was chosen by the Director of Dance, Donna Fay Burchfield, to be shown at the Kid’s Cafe college dance showcase in New York. Holly grew up dancing at Roswell City Dance, under the direction of Shannon Childers. In addition to this training, she attended many intensives and conventions and earned scholarships such as Pulse Protege, NYCDA Outstanding Dancer, and NUVO Breakout Artist. After graduating from high school, Holly spent a summer dancing for Project 7 Contemporary Dance Company, under the direction of Cherrise Wakeham. She also performed in multiple industrials through Bloc South Talent Agency whom she signed with in 2007. Most recently, Holly performed in Teddy Tedholm’s work at the Jazz Dance World Congress in Pittsburgh and enjoys opportunities such as these to share her artistry on stage as well as in the studio.
